Life is what we make it

I have had a lovely week with my family visiting from Dubbo. I wished we lived closer than 1100 kms apart, but we do see one another quite frequently thanks to my beautiful daughter who drives over. I am so glad that she had another reason last week to visit over with us on the Sunshine Coast. We had a lovely father's day dinner with our family from the Sunshine Coast here also, so a few of us that night.

We had a visit last week from a family from Switzerland who were the family our granddaughter was an au pair for last year. After worrying (me) if we would have things right for them, we found them such a lovely family. The three little girls were delightful and very friendly as were the parents. Made me think how we worry about meeting people sometimes and they probably worry about meeting us. People the world over are basically the same. Sometimes a little different in the greeting. The Swiss apparently like to give you a few kisses!!!!!

The weather has been lovely and I am not looking forward to the summer with the humidity. Time to get out the summer clothes and see what is needed (if any).
